How to read a movie podcasts

Film into three levels

part 1...

The podcast firstly introduces to the audience why is it important to break up a movie into sections this to make it easier to understand analyse and compare.

The three aspects are known as the literary aspects , the dramatic aspects and the cinematic aspects.

The literary aspects are elements films and books have in common, the events that apply, the characters , the setting, time place and emotion of the story, themes , the point of view ( first person third person, narrative) films are seen through a certain point of view like novels.

a film has a plot, the beginning middle and end, films usually also have a climax.

The characters are important to focus on, the protagonist and the anatognist

The setting a film needs to be set in a time place and emotion

the themes what is being said ? the lesson or morale  of the text

point of view is either set in first person being told through a persons eyes  , third person camera watching the events not focusing on one person .

part 2

The second podcasts speaks about the dramatic aspects elements which film share with live drama , such as theatre.

things which film share with live drama:

to kill a mockingbird is a novel is a good example of the dramatic aspects which go from novel to being visual.

Things to take into consideration when making a novel visual is : the actor choice , costume design (periodically and comparison to the novel )

Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet and two well known Shakespearean place which have been created many times in many different interpretations, these are the compared to preferbility , which is better modern or original, does the actor choice affect the audiences point of view on the film.

The cinematic aspects of film ,what is making film , film  this  is the finished product different to live drama and theatre. What separates film from live theatre and novels .film is shot through a camera the lightening and live action can be edited, whereas a play can have mistakes someone could forget  their lines. Once a film has been recorded it can be watched over and over again and nothing will change.
